Runes work just like they do in the campaign - unlock them, equip them, and you’ll be permanently enhanced. Third, the Hack Module was replaced with Runes. The original progression system was random, but now specific unlocks are tied to specific levels and in-game challenges, so you’re always getting closer to what you want to unlock.
